Irish Centre for Diversity aims to help organizations embed Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement (FREDIE) across their culture and practices.
Since 2023, Fáilte Ireland has participated in the Irish Centre for Diversity’s Investors in Diversity programme. This enables us to recognise, measure and improve our efforts to foster equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in Fáilte Ireland. We have received Bronze and Silver accreditation from the Irish Centre for Diversity.
What does this mean?
Bronze accreditation recognises that Fáilte Ireland is committed to fostering a culture of Equality, Diversityand Inclusion. Achieving Bronze status means that Fáilte Ireland have built a strong foundation in these areas and are dedicated to continuous improvement, fostering a supportive workplace and providing education opportunities and services where all individuals feel respected and valued.
Silver accreditation affirms that Fáilte Ireland is benchmarked against other bodies and has both embedded Inclusive practices across the operation as well as developed and fostered a sense of fairness and belonging among colleagues.

Open Doors purpose is to create pathways to work, education, and entrepreneurship for marginalized groups in Ireland, including refugees, asylum seekers, people with disabilities, and disadvantaged youth.

In 2024 we achieved the Silver Investors in Diversity award from theIrish Centre for Diversity, building on our previous Bronze award in 2023.

Fáilte Ireland were one of the finalists in the National Diversity and Inclusion Awards 2025. The National Diversity and Inclusion Awards are hosted by the Irish Centre for Diversity and are judged by a panel of leading experts in EDI. From over 180 entries, six finalists in each of the awards’ 12 categories made the shortlist after impressing the judging panel with their work advancing D&I in the workplace.
