Fáilte Ireland is inviting applications for the role of Support, Industry Digitalisation.
Job Purpose
The job purpose of this role is to support the administration of large-scale digital transformation and data programmes aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and productivity of Irish tourism businesses.
This role is a core part of the Industry Digitalisation team, whose primary purpose is to enable the adoption of digital technologies across the tourism sector.
Job Description
Primary Objectives/Key Responsibilities
Strategy
Conduct targeted research to identify opportunities for tourism businesses to adopt digital technologies that drive revenue growth, improve productivity, and enhance the visitor experience.
Monitor digitalisation trends in tourism and share relevant insights and opportunities with the Industry Digitalisation team.
Contribute to the development of strategic growth plans within the Division.
Operational
Support the delivery of digital transformation programmes in line with defined objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Administer key elements of the programme, including application processes, grant approvals process, issuing investment-grant agreements, and managing claims payments. This requires familiarity with Fáilte Ireland’s CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent), including data management.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery.
Provide regular feedback from external stakeholders to inform team activities.
Prepare project reports to support programme monitoring, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder reporting.
Ensure all third-party procurement complies with Fáilte Ireland’s procurement policy.
Assist with financial administration tasks in accordance with organisational policy.
Actively contribute to Divisional targets.
Support Fáilte Ireland’s sustainability objectives.
Undertake other duties and contribute to various team projects as a full member of the Industry Digitalisation team.
This role requires travel, with attendance at a number of national and regional locations / sites on an annual basis.
The flexibility to travel domestically, and on occasion internationally is an element of this role
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant role in tourism, digital, communications or project management.
Additionally, they will have the following skills:

Curiosity and openness to innovation and emerging digital technologies.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant role in tourism, digital, communications or project management.
Knowledge of digital and emerging technologies such as Gen-AI.
Report generation experience.
Budget management experience.
Qualifications/Mandatory Training
A professional qualification (min level 6 under the QQI framework) in business, management, digital or tourism .
Desirable Criteria
Experience of using a CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
Experience of managing external stakeholder relationships.
Experience working within tourism or a related sector.
